I have always loved to cook.  I learned to cook at a young age and the passion grew through the years...
The JOURNEY...

In 1996, my love for cooking and kitchen "gadgets" led me to start  home-based biz selling kitchen tools through in-home Cooking Shows with The Pampered Chef, Ltd.®.  Although this was technically "sales", I focused more on "edu-taining" my guests by sharing food tips, trivia, time and money-saving tips and economical meal time solutions.  Through the years, my customers offered much feedback  including, "Have you ever thought about doing cooking classes?" 

In 2006, I heard about The Culinary School of Ft Worth I immediately enrolled!  (this was a childhood dream of mine!)  I started the Chef Pro program in May 2006 and to be honest, I had no idea what would come from it.  Midway through Chef Pro I, it was the passion of the incredible chef instructors that reminded me of how much  I LOVE the "teaching" aspect of food.  After all, I always thought of my cooking shows more as "classes" so this made sense.  (I also love to entertain so catering was another direction I was considering.) 
 
We graduated in August 2007 and in November, Simply Social was born.  It started as a small catering biz,  operating only off referrals.  I still had my home-business selling kitchen tools and it was through that I realized I really wanted to "teach" but I wasn't sure how or when I would do it.  Then, in the Fall of 2008, I begun to remodel my kitchen and my "vision" for cooking classes soon started coming to fruition.
Now, all ages can learn in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.  My "culinary specialty" is grilling....both indoors and out.   I am also available to do cooking classes for groups such as youth groups, singles groups and more.  I also offer private one-on-one lessons, birthday parties, private group lessons, kids culinary camps, fund raising opportunities, personal chef services and more!
 
I am thankful for the program at CSFTW.  Not only was it convenient both in geography and time commitment, it was also very affordable!  I learned a great deal and the experience is directly responsible for the path I am on now.  Check out my BIO on their alumni page!
